The healing path
This is where we keep the narrative of healing: the themes we return to, and the specific moments that changed what was possible for us. Take it at whatever pace suits you.
Walk beside us
The journey through the aftermath of organized extreme abuse is a long, uneven process. The effects wove themselves into the fabric of our system and shaped every step we have taken. These are the themes we return to again and again — written as they actually happen, not as a tidy arc.
healing is not linear, and we have stopped asking it to be
We are actively fostering communication and understanding inside our system, building bridges where there were once walls. This work is the ground everything else stands on.
Memory arrives out of order. We record what comes, mark what is uncertain, and let insiders correct the record when they are ready to speak.
Some entries exist only to carry pain and grief. They are marked in blue throughout this archive so no one has to walk into them unprepared.
Our aim is to take the very roles we were trained for and turn them toward self-determination — separating the past from the present, one insider at a time.
The moments that moved everything
Chronological logs of therapeutic shifts, insider transformations, and breakthrough milestones. Where a date is uncertain we say so plainly rather than inventing one.
The first inklings that our inner world was not like other people's. No language for it yet — only the sense of many, and of time going missing.
We began to unravel the layers of trauma and fragmentation that defined our existence, and started keeping written records so information could survive between sessions.
Through therapy, treatment, and self-reflection we began sharing our story with a small number of trusted allies. Speaking it aloud changed what we could hold.
Art therapy became a cornerstone — offering insight and revelation that words alone could not reach. Many insiders spoke first in paint and collage.
We connected with a community of survivors. The strength and solidarity there reinforced how much shared experience matters when the work is this long.
We uncovered hidden aspects of our system design imposed by our abusers, which had blocked inner communication for decades while looking, on the surface, like progress. This was the turning point.
A new phase: truly sharing and retaining information across our systems, connecting with one another, integrating trauma, and reviving this archive with a new vision.
